After your 7-month preparatory course, we look forward to welcoming you to the DHZC team as a healthcare and nursing professional. Your previous professional experience abroad will be recognised from the start of the course.

We attach great importance to a thorough induction and offer you – if required – a free accompanying language course during this time. In concrete terms, this means that you can complete your language course two days a week and work on your ward on the remaining three days.

You start this course with a B2 level of German through our " Fachsprachenprüfung in der Pflege".

International Contents
You will take part in a six-month specialised course led by two nursing and medical teachers who are also German teachers. Together with international specialists, you will learn to express your knowledge from your home country in German. Topics relating to the German legal system will be covered and cultural similarities will be discussed.

Salary
You will be employed as a nursing assistant during the course at the DHZC. You will receive a monthly gross salary of € 2829.44 (TVöD: salary group P6, experience level 1). After your professional recognition, you will be employed as a nursing assistant. Your salary will increase and your professional experience from your home country will be recognised.

You will rotate between lessons and your internship on a ward at the DHZC.

After successfully passing your exam, you will have a further 8 weeks of German lessons on two days.

All details about the knowledge test at a glance

During the preparatory course, you will be employed as a nursing assistant at the DHZC and receive a permanent employment contract. Your previous work experience abroad will be recognised upon completion of this course. Once you have successfully completed the knowledge test, the DHZC team will welcome you as a state-recognised healthcare and nursing assistant!
