Safe transport of patients with mechanical circulatory support
Mechanical circulatory support systems are now firmly established in the treatment of cardiogenic shock. The complex care of these patients often requires secondary transport to specialised centres, which poses a particular medical and logistical challenge.
In this training course, we will give you an update on modern treatment options for cardiogenic shock and provide you with a concise overview of common systems of mechanical circulatory support, the special features of intensive medical care for these patients and the preparation and monitoring of safe transport.
We have put together an exciting and very helpful program for this 4.5-hour course, which is aimed at anyone who performs patient transports on Impella and, of course, anyone else who would like to be trained.
Our specialised speakers from the field of cardiac surgery will present everything in a practical way and you will have the opportunity to practice live on workstations.
Focal points of the program:
- Modern therapy of cardiogenic shock using temporary MCS
- Presentation of the modern mAFP – pathophysiology, implantation and working principle
- Special features in the intensive medical care of patients with MCS
- Transport of patients with MCS
- Hands-on workstations
